Out of Darkness sprung to life in the early part of 2016 but it was many years ago when a mutual friend introduced the three at a church in Springfield, PA where Fran was pastoring. Many years had passed before they met again to form Out of Darkness. Rich, who is primarily a drummer and quickly learning guitar, began playing drums at the ripe old age of 11. Lisa has been performing since she was 12 years old and Fran has been playing guitar for over 40 years. One thing these three have in common: Their desire to honor the Lord with their music began around the same time.
The name, Out of Darkness describes Rich, Lisa and Fran’s lives in that once they were blind but now they see. God has taken them from darkness to light and “out of the darkness” and their desire is to spread the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as they journey through life on earth, through music and through conversation. Most of their music is Christ-centered and they also perform some popular hit songs from their youth.

Eric Rapp has been playing music and writing songs for over 35 years. In 1981, through a series of miraculous events including being set free from drug/alcohol addiction, eating disorders and severe depression, Eric became a Christian. After a period of time, getting to know the Lord and resting in His grace, Eric returned to music. He began writing Christ centered songs and also leading worship. Eric has had the opportunity to share his music, his testimony and his message with people throughout the United States and in many foreign countries. He currently is leading worship at a church in Glenolden, Pennsylvania, assisting in several other musical/worship projects and performing as a solo artist.
