Last Chance is the musical duo of singer-songwriter Jack Scott and fiddler-vocalist Ingrid Rosenback. The group performs original music. Jack plays 5-string banjo and guitar, Ingrid plays fiddle and harmonica, and they both sing. Last Chance performs in the style of a contemporary folk-roots fusion and bluegrass duo.
As Last Chance, Jack & Ingrid play extensively throughout Philadelphia and the area at festivals, blues clubs, library events, senior centers, coffeehouses and other locales. Among the venues they’ve played are the Philadelphia Folk Festival, Suzanne Roberts Theater, Burlap & Bean, Lansdowne Folk Club, Twisted Tail, World Café live at the Queen and Philadelphia’s Hard Rock Café. They regularly participate in WXPN’s Musicians on Call program, bringing live music to patients’ bedsides.
Last Chance has released two CDs: “Endless Flight” (2016) and “We Came to Play” (2013), available through their website, www.lastchanceband.org or at their concerts.
The duo has a unique, contemporary sound emanating from Ingrid’s classical training and Jack’s songwriting rooted in traditional folk music. Their music defies categorization and appeals to audiences of diverse ages and musical tastes.
Olivia Leonard, a student at Temple University, will be opening for Last Chance. She has been singing in choirs at church and school since she was young. She’s been heavily influenced by soul music and grew up listening to r&b greats from the 80’s and 90’s. She also enjoys writing songs along with singing. Music is her passion, and she hopes to continue her growth as an artist.
