West Mt Airy resident and photographer, Steve Ladner, is a devoted folk and blues guitar player and singer. Steve is a finger style acoustic guitar player influenced by greats such as Leo Kottke and the old style blues guitar players like Robert Johnson, and interpreting in his own style some popular tunes. Steve also plays instrumental compositions of his own. Playing wherever he can such as open mics and coffee houses, he also for the last 7 years has been a volunteer for Musicians On Call, a program where musicians play for patients in their rooms in various hospitals. Though passionate about playing music, he has spent his career life behind the camera. Steve moved to Philadelphia in 2009 after many years living in NYC, where he worked as a fashion and portrait photographer, shooting for Harpers Bazaar, GQ, Revlon, French Vogue, many other magazines and advertising agencies. Steve continues to shoot for private and corporate clients in NY and Philadelphia.
