Julia Zane is an up and coming country artist from the Philadelphia area. Julia just turned 14 years old and has performed at many venues throughout the Tri-State area such as: Yachtstock, a fundraiser where many of the proceeds go to Shriner’s Hospital, Our Community Cup, a coffee house for disabled individuals. In addition, Julia has sung at venues such as Christmas Village @ Philly’s Love Park, The Bourse in Philly, Chaplin’s Live in Spring City, the Liberty Pro Rodeo, the Deck at Harbor Pointe, the Corinthian Club, the West End Boat Club, RP McMurphy’s, Barnaby’s Heritage Ballroom, AJ Stephen’s Crab House, the Clarion Hotel, the Legendary JC Dobbs, New Leaf Club and The Well in Delaware. Julia Zane is also part of the Young Stars produced by Elena Brokus and performs at many events for Elena’s shows, along with many of the “Keep Music Alive” events as well.
Julia just recently opened a Mother’s Day concert for Blue Magic and Rick Sheppard of the world famous Drifters. She performed on the radio on Crusin 92.1 FM with Billy Carlucci and Patti Lattanzi and the Gang and also appeared on television on the Linwood Jackson Show in Wilmington, Del.
Julia sings every week at RP McMurphy’s Open Mic on Tuesday nights and AJ Stephen’s Crab House Open Mic on Thursday nights.
Besides her musical talent, Julia was recently inducted into the National Junior Honor Society at her school, PALCS (Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School) and has just graduated the 8th grade and is on her way to High School in September.
Julia loves horseback riding and has been in the saddle since she was a toddler. Her family owns a Horse Carriage business, Trinity Carriage Services, where Julia works at many of their events.
Julia recently learned how to play the guitar, only 4 months ago, and has taught herself many songs to perform publicly. Julia attends Delco Let There Be Rock School and takes vocal training with Melissa Daley.
Julia believes in giving back to her community and is involved in a charity called, “Cell Phones For Soldiers” where she has lost count of the hundreds and hundreds of old cell phones she has collected where for each phone donated, and organization called ReCellular gives our troops who serve abroad an hour’s worth of talk time on pre-paid phone cards so they can afford to call home to their families.
Julia works very hard at her craft and loves every minute of it and dreams of going to Nashville on day.
Opening for Julia will be Gabriella Mercado. Gabriella Mercado was born in south Philadelphia and currently lives in South Jersey. Throughout her life she fought many battles but with singing as her best friend she was never knocked down. She is dedicated to her career and says “nothing in this world can compare to the gift of talent and music”. Music made her who she is and she thanks everyone and anyone who supports her dreams. She’s performed locally in the PA and NJ area. Her video cover of Beyoncés song “best thing I never had” is now out on YouTube. R&b, rap, pop and hip hop is in her heart. Music in her heart, soul and mind. She hopes to make a change with her story and her talent.
